I don’t know where to start so I guess I’ll start with the part of Worlds that means the most to me: the people. I met new friends, got to hang out with old friends, and even speak to a few yoyo rockstars. So right now I’m gonna give a shout-out to all (hopefully) of those cool people. (In no particular order)
Randy Jansen, Matthew Haworth, Doctor Popular, Landon Balk, CJ Atkinson, Kyle Casteline, Andrew, Ryan Gordon, Brandon Jackson, David Maddox, Jon Martin, Augie Fash, Guy Write, Ben, Andrew McKenzie, Leah Rupert, Alex Bika, Layse Hartman, Connor, Sk!p, Vooie, Brett Wendrzyk, Will Niemeier, Samm Scott, Tyler, Seth Stewart, David Chapman, Brandon Schandler, Steven Kinder, Uri Gottschalk, Charles Schluer, Team Foxland guy, the kid I met in line for registration, some other kid, some guy who’s name escapes me at the moment, and that other guy who’s name I can’t remember.
If you’re not listed and I met you, you’re probably one of the ambiguous people at the end of the list. (Just to cover my butt ^____^)
Man, I met a lot of people, learned a lot, taught a lot, was awed by the performances a lot, bought yoyos a lot, yoyoed a lot; it was the best three days of my year.
Another thing that means a lot to me that I got from the experience is the Encouragement. It’s the most vivid and meaningful thing I took away from this year’s Worlds. (despite having gotten a bunch of new yoyos)
That’s why Snacktimestring will be amping up its string production, product line, and starting an official team!
Look for updates and follow our progress in the coming months!
