I would like to proudly announce that Snacktimestring has it’s first official team member. In the past we haven’t thought it would really make sense to have a team, since we are a string company, not a yoyo company, but that has changed. I met a lot of people at worlds, all of them awesome yoyoers, but I met one who changed my mind about having a team.
He’s passionate about yoyoing, he has no inhibitions when it comes to the hobby he loves. He takes his role as a snacktime team member seriously, he persistently begged me to let him on the team and he’s eager to earn his spot by actively promoting our string and the sport of yoyoing. He’s really good for his age, he can do a lot of tricks that I can’t even do and he just turned twelve!
Meet Matthew Haworth

Yes, he's like, super cool.
Name: Matthew Haworth
Age: 12
Yoyo experience: 10 months
Location: Orlando, FL
Date expected to win Worlds: 2014
I will post a new video of him in the next blog, until then, here’s his Vimeo account: http://www.vimeo.com/user4258044
Huzzah!

I don’t know where to start so I guess I’ll start with the part of Worlds that means the most to me: the people. I met new friends, got to hang out with old friends, and even speak to a few yoyo rockstars. So right now I’m gonna give a shout-out to all (hopefully) of those cool people. (In no particular order)
Randy Jansen, Matthew Haworth, Doctor Popular, Landon Balk, CJ Atkinson, Kyle Casteline, Andrew, Ryan Gordon, Brandon Jackson, David Maddox, Jon Martin, Augie Fash, Guy Write, Ben, Andrew McKenzie, Leah Rupert, Alex Bika, Layse Hartman, Connor, Sk!p, Vooie, Brett Wendrzyk, Will Niemeier, Samm Scott, Tyler, Seth Stewart, David Chapman, Brandon Schandler, Steven Kinder, Uri Gottschalk, Charles Schluer, Team Foxland guy, the kid I met in line for registration, some other kid, some guy who’s name escapes me at the moment, and that other guy who’s name I can’t remember.
If you’re not listed and I met you, you’re probably one of the ambiguous people at the end of the list. (Just to cover my butt ^____^)
Man, I met a lot of people, learned a lot, taught a lot, was awed by the performances a lot, bought yoyos a lot, yoyoed a lot; it was the best three days of my year.
Another thing that means a lot to me that I got from the experience is the Encouragement. It’s the most vivid and meaningful thing I took away from this year’s Worlds. (despite having gotten a bunch of new yoyos)
That’s why Snacktimestring will be amping up its string production, product line, and starting an official team!
Look for updates and follow our progress in the coming months!

I don’t have time to write a big post now but I wanted to say: I had a great time at worlds. I enjoyed meeting people, if you met me, leave a comment below.

p.s. more about worlds, next post!
For a long time I was obsessed with learning how to do various tricks like backflips, aerials, gainers, butterfly-twists, and all that stuff. After that, I got obsessed with learning yoyo tricks.
For my submission to the SPPY and YoYoSkills video contest I crossed the two. I don’t have much experience, as this is the first time I’ve seriously tried any of these tricks, but I really think there may be something to this. Should I continue to develop it?
.
Yay!

We’ve got a core group of yoyoers in Orlando who meet on a weekly basis during the school year. This was filmed over the course of three weeks during Spring semester this year. If you’re ever in town let us know and we’ll probably be able to meet up!
Anyway, enjoy the video!

We’ve been getting a lot of hits on our website from overseas recently, and we thought it w0uld be a good time to mention that snacktimestring is available in Europe! There’s three places to get it from so far, two in England and one in Greece.
Yoyoz.co.uk
They were the first store to stock our string and it was a big step for us.
Euro-yo.com
They have our string featured on the main page and took some really great pictures!
Yo-yo.gr
(Here’s the link to a version translated into English) I really like the background graphic.
These stores have been all really cool and we look forward to working with them more in the future!

We’ve added Neon colored string to our stock. We took pictures of them! Enjoy!

These are they! The following pictures show all six new colors and following each photo is a blurb about a particular color.

Seafoam – a light blue-green that is very visible and very pleasing to the eye.

Pink – A vibrant fun color for those days when you just feel like pink.

Yellow – Not glow in the dark, but black-light responsive. Really, really black-light responsive

Green – A smooth green that matches well with many different colors of yoyo.

Orange – A set of neon strings wouldn’t be complete without it.

Peach – A hint of orange and pink together with some white. It looks really cool and unique in person.

Look at me go! Hahaha! I really had fun.
My favorite part is the little eli-hop dance. Shoulda done more of it but I kinda thought of it spur-if-the-moment as I got up onto the stage.
My other favorite part is how awesome the Snacktimestring logo looks up there on the backdrop with all the other sponsors!
Throw on!
